On the 13th of November the Madikwe Collection will be hosting a 6 piece musical ensemble, including members of the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, for a live performance surrounded by the Madikwe bushveld.
 This event will be in aid of anti-poaching and R250 of each ticket sold will be donated to the North West Parks & Tourism Board Counter Poaching Unit.
 The tickets will be sold for R600 per person and will include a 2 part recital of well known classical music, a short talk about poaching, a welcome drink and light snacks.
 A cash bar will be open before and after the performance.
 Following the performance guests will return to their lodges for dinner.

Sanctuary Chief’s Camp will re-open on 21 April 2010 after an extensive upgrade and extension of the camp’s main lounge and dining area.

 The Madikwe Game Reserve is one of the largest game reserves in South Africa, covering some 75,000 hectare. The rich diversity of vegetation ensures a wide range of game and the topography offers ideal game viewing opportunities. The reserve is situated against the Botswana border, 90 km north of Zeerust, just three hours’ drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria, and is now one of South Africa’s prime safari destinations. It is very close to Pilanesberg National Park and the world renowned Sun City.

Madikwe is regarded as one of the finest conservation areas in Africa, offering the ‘Super 7’, adding cheetah and the endangered African wild dog to the already famous ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, both white and black rhino.  along with almost all the plains antelope species. Plus brown hyena, sable, eland, gemsbok, giraffe and large herds of plains game and plenty of birds.
